Tao Jiang

Tao Jiang is a highly experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Tesla, focusing on Model X Sensing and Optimus Sensing since June 2023. Prior to this role, Tao was a Staff Mechanical Product Designer at Aurora, where work involved optics-fiber and photonics IC LIDAR systems for trucks. At Apple, Tao held dual roles as Senior Mechanical Team Lead and Mechanical Design Engineer from September 2014 to June 2022, leading US and Shanghai Testing PD teams while overseeing mechanical architecture and manufacturing processes for display testing equipment. Earlier career experiences include internships at Microsoft, Schlumberger, and Procter & Gamble, where contributions spanned testing processes and CAE simulations.
