Tobias Grether-Murray

Tobias Grether-Murray is an emerging professional in the field of engineering, currently serving as a Battery Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Tesla since April 2025. As a co-founder of Waterloo Hacker Fab since May 2024, Tobias demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit and innovation. Previous experiences include a Mechatronics Engineering Co-op at 4AG Robotics, focusing on the design of components for mushroom-picking robots, and a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Airthium, where the development of subsystems for advanced heat pumps was undertaken. Additionally, a Process Development Internship at Solugen involved writing an article on foundational principles for establishing a deeptech company. Tobias is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Honours Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo, expected to graduate in April 2028, having previously completed a Pure and Applied Science degree at Marianopolis College in May 2023.
