Bastiaan Viaene

Bastiaan Viaene is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in business transformation and sustainable practices within the agricultural sector. Currently serving as Business Transformation Manager Agro at Tessenderlo Group since November 2020, Bastiaan leads strategic and business development initiatives. Prior experience includes co-founding the startup Taima during a tenure at Demium, focused on medicinal cannabis cultivation, and managing sustainable agricultural practices at Viaverda by integrating organizations dedicated to eco-friendly horticulture. Earlier roles include project management at Anheuser-Busch InBev and serving as an organizational consultant for the Groep Boerenbond, where advocacy for young farmers was a key focus. Bastiaan holds a Bachelor and Master in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from KU Leuven, as well as a Master in Business Management from Ichec Brussels Management School.
