Faye Maertens

Faye Maertens is an experienced professional in the field of innovation and research, currently serving as the Innovation Manager for Bio-valorisation at Tessenderlo Group since September 2017. In this role, Faye leads the innovation pipeline for the Bio-valorisation segment and inspires the Bio-valorisation team at the Tessenderlo Innovation Center. Previously, Faye worked as the Innovation Project Manager at Soudal and held various roles at Tessenderlo Group, including R&D Team Leader and R&D Manager at the TG Development Center. Responsibilities included managing R&D lab operations, coordinating projects, and ensuring the delivery of scalable processes that met quality, safety, and economic criteria. Faye holds a PhD in Chemistry from KU Leuven and has furthered business acumen with training from Vlerick Business School.
