Rebecca Nugent

Rebecca Nugent has a diverse and extensive work experience in various scientific and biotechnology roles. Rebecca'smost recent position was as the VP of High Throughput Operations at Tessera Therapeutics, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Engineering Biology Research Consortium since 2022, actively contributing to committees and roadmapping initiatives.

From 2021 to 2023, Rebecca was the VP of Platform Research at Synthego Corporation, where they led a research department focused on developing genome engineering technologies for human cell and gene therapies. Before that, they worked as the Sr. Director of BioPharma Product Strategy at Twist Bioscience in 2021.

Rebecca has a long history with Twist Bioscience, starting in 2015 as the Director of Product Research. Rebecca later held roles such as Director of Synthetic Biology, Senior Manager of Synthetic Biology, Senior Research Scientist/R&D Manager, and Research Scientist.
