Thomas Colace

Thomas Colace is a seasoned professional in the field of chemical and biomolecular engineering with extensive experience in lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation. Currently serving as Director of LNP Formulation at Tessera Therapeutics since January 2022, Colace previously held the position of Associate Director of LNP Formulation at Kernal Biologics from January 2021 to January 2022. Prior to that, Colace was an Associate Principal Scientist at Verve Therapeutics from March 2019 to January 2021 and a Senior Scientist at Merck from August 2014 to March 2019. Colace started a career in research as a Post Doctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania from July 2013 to July 2014. Colace earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013 and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University in 2008.
