Yaser Heshmati

Yaser Heshmati, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist at Tessera Therapeutics, where responsibilities include mRNA-LNP mediated Gene Rewriting in hematopoietic stem cells for sickle cell disease, as well as conducting hematology assays for gene correction validation. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at both Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, focusing on hematology/oncology and the discovery of therapeutic targets through genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 screening. Additionally, Yaser worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Karolinska University Hospital in Clinical Genetics and Hematology. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Medical Genetics from Karolinska Institutet, an MSc in Human Genetics from the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences in Tehran, and a BSc in Molecular Genetics from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz.
