Katie first got involved with patient education more than 14 years ago as an editor for an online publication dedicated to informing the public about lab testing. Initially trained as a lab professional, Katie holds a degree in microbiology from San Diego State University, and is a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist and a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
