Gaëtan Cherbuin has been working in the healthcare and research industries since 2010. In 2010, they began their career as a Research Assistant at Agroscope - Liebefeld - Posieux (ALP). In 2016, they took on the role of BioMolecular Facility Specialist at SICHH - Swiss Integrative Center for Human Health SA. In 2018, they were appointed Head of R&D at SwissDeCode, where they were responsible for technological scouting and instrument-free DNA detection. In 2019, they became Chief Technology Officer at Testmate Health, a healthcare startup focused on low cost, high quality & accurate at home self-testing.
Gaëtan Cherbuin attended the University of Zurich from 2011 to 2015, studying Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Science in Genomics and Molecular Biology from the University of Lausanne - UNIL between 2007 and 2009 and a Bachelor of Science from the same university between 2004 and 2007.
