Malte Zur

Malte Zur has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Malte is currently the Co-Managing Director (Germany) at GaeaStar Corp. Prior to this, they founded and served as the Managing Director of testxchange GmbH, a leading digital marketplace for testing and certification. Malte also co-founded and served as Managing Director of Grasse Zur Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, a company focused on material testing of fiber-reinforced plastics. Malte has research experience as a PhD Researcher and Project Leader at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, where they conducted extensive research on air transport safety and published their findings in scientific journals and as a PhD dissertation. Malte has also worked as a Process Consultant and Management Trainee at ZF Group, and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Porsche AG, where they gained experience in durability testing and analysis.

Malte Zur started their education in 1997, attending ETH Zürich where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Malte continued their studies at Technische Universität Berlin from 1998 to 2005, completing a M.Sc. (Dipl.-Ing.) in Mechanical Engineering. In 2003 to 2004, they also had the opportunity to study at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, focusing on Ingenieria Industrial and receiving a Dipl.-Ing. degree. Later, in 2010 to 2014, they enrolled at Universität Rostock and successfully obtained a Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) in Mechanical Engineering.
