Tobias Gabriel

Tobias Gabriel is an experienced executive in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as Chief Growth Officer at PROTEROS biostructures GmbH since June 2025. Prior to this role, Tobias held the position of Vice President at WuXi AppTec from April 2024 to June 2025. A significant portion of Tobias's career was spent at Novartis from March 2010 to April 2024, where various leadership roles included Global Head of External Science & Drug Discovery, Head of Chemistry Oncology, and Head of Chemistry in Shanghai. Tobias's earlier experience encompasses a decade at Roche from January 2000 to March 2010, where leadership was demonstrated as Director of Pharma Research Strategy and Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry. Education includes a Doctorate in Chemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (1994-1997) and a Postdoctoral fellowship in Nanotechnology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1997-1999).
