Giw Zanganeh

Giw Zanganeh is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in energy, mining, and blockchain technology. Currently serving as the VP of Energy and Mining at Tether.io since August 2022, Zanganeh oversees energy and Bitcoin mining activities and directs the Plan ₿ initiative in Lugano to promote Bitcoin adoption. Zanganeh has also owned the Lugano Bitcoin Meetup since October 2017, focusing on public education regarding cryptocurrency. As a founding member and treasurer of the Swiss Association of Crypto Investors, Zanganeh works to enhance the Swiss crypto ecosystem. Previous roles include grid analyst and program manager at Aziende Industriali di Lugano, external consultant and managing director at ALACAES, and senior manager at Capgemini Invent, among others. Zanganeh holds a Doctor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich and has extensive experience in energy storage technologies.
