Peter Marchant has a long and diverse work experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. Peter started their career as a Geotechnical Engineer at Babbage Consultants Limited in 1988 and then moved on to Tonkin + Taylor in 1989, where they held the same position until 1992. Peter then joined Engineering Geology Ltd as a Geotechnical Engineer from 1992 to 1998. Following that, they served as the Director at Phi Group (NZ) Ltd from 1998 to 2001. Peter later took on the role of Office Manager at Geotek Services Limited from 2001 to 2008. Currently, they are employed as the Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Coffey International Ltd, where they have been working since 2008.
Peter Marchant completed their education history with a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering from The University of Auckland in 1984. Peter then pursued a Master of Engineering (ME) in Civil Engineering from the same institution, which they completed in 1996. Additionally, Peter obtained certifications as a Category 1 Geotechnical Engineer from the Tauranga City Council in 2015, and as a Chartered Professional Engineer from IPENZ in 1996.
