Art Mack has extensive experience in research and development, particularly in the field of flame retardants. Currently serving as the Research and Development Manager for TETRA Technologies since April 2012, Art oversees new product and technology development, process innovation, and product support while managing the Altassian Confluence and JIRA project management systems. Previously, Art worked as the R&D Director at Albemarle from April 2000 to April 2012, leading global initiatives in flame retardant technology and overseeing customer technical services and intellectual property management. Art's earlier roles include R&D Manager at Great Lakes Chemical and R&D Chemist at Akzo Chemie, building a strong foundation in new product and process development. Art holds a Post Doc in Photochemistry from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of Salford, where an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Physics was also obtained.
