Paddy Dear

Paddy Dear is the Co-Founder of Tetragon Financial Group Limited. Paddy has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Paddy started their career as a Senior Petroleum Engineer with Marathon Oil UK Ltd. In 1986, they transitioned to Prudential Bache Securities where they worked as European Equity Sales. In 1988, Paddy joined UBS and became the MD and Global Head of Hedge Funds. Paddy left UBS in 2002 and joined Polygon Global Partners LLP where they worked until 2009.

In 2009, Paddy co-founded Tetragon Financial Group Limited, a leading global alternative asset manager. Tetragon’s mission is to provide innovative solutions to meet the needs of their clients. Under Paddy’s leadership, Tetragon has become a leading provider of alternative investments with over $24 billion in assets under management.

Paddy Dear studied petroleum engineering at Imperial College London, graduating with a BSc in the subject.
