Irani Khatun

Irani Khatun, MS, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Global Regulatory Medical Writing at Teva Pharmaceuticals, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Khatun was the Therapeutic Area Head for MS Specialized Immunology at Biogen from February to December 2023 and held the title of Senior Director, Head of Medical Writing in Clinical Research at Supernus Pharmaceuticals from July 2022 to February 2023. Khatun's extensive experience also includes various positions at Pfizer from September 2012 to July 2022, ranging from Director of Clinical Development and Operations in Oncology to Associate Director focusing on Neuroscience and Pain. Earlier roles included Manager of Clinical Development and Operations and Manager of Safety Aggregate and Medical Writing. Khatun began the career as a Research Fellow at SUNY Downstate Medical Center from 2006 to 2012, following a Graduate Research Fellowship, and held a Graduate Research Assistant position at Texas Woman's University from 2003 to 2005. Educational credentials include a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and an MS in Molecular Microbiology from Texas Woman's University.
