Faustino Rivas, Ed.D. has extensive experience in the education field. Faustino began their career in 1972 as a Teacher/Coach at Los Fresnos School District. Faustino then served as a Principal at Rio Hondo ISD from 1988 to 1990, at Harlingen ISD from 1990 to 1995, and at Los Fresnos School District from 1995 to 2004. In 2005, they joined Dallas Independent School District as a Principal until 2010. Since 2010, they have been serving as a Principal at Texans Can Academies and Dallas Can Academy - Oak Cliff Campus.
Faustino Rivas, Ed.D. obtained a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Southwestern College from 2013 to 2017. Faustino also earned a Master's degree in Education with a focus on Educational Leadership from The University of Texas-Pan American in 1987. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from the same university from 1968 to 1972. Faustino Rivas received their high school diploma from Los Fresnos High School in 1968. Additionally, they have a certification in Mid-Management Administrator.
