David Leebron

David Leebron currently serves as the President and CEO of Texas 2036 since July 2024. In addition to this role, Leebron has been a University Professor and President at Rice University since July 2004. Previously, Leebron held the positions of Dean and Professor at Columbia Law School from 1989 to 2004 and was a Professor at New York University School of Law from 1983 to 1989. Early in the career, Leebron was an Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP for a year in 1981. Leebron earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Harvard University.
