Director Of Operations at Texas AFT

Tanner Williams, SHRM-SCP, has a solid and extensive work history in the field of labor and organizational development. Tanner began their career at AFT Missouri in 2003 as a Field Representative and Communications Director. After three years, they moved on to Texas AFT-PEG, where they worked as an Organizing/Systems Supervisor and then as a Field Representative. In 2010, Tanner joined Texas AFT as a State Field Representative, later transitioning to the role of Regional Coordinator and then to Director of Organizing & Leadership Development. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Operations at Texas AFT. Throughout their various roles, Tanner has demonstrated their expertise in labor relations and exemplary leadership skills.

Tanner Williams, SHRM-SCP, holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from Truman State University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002. Tanner has also acquired additional certifications, including a Human Resource Management Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin – Center for Professional Education (CPE), and the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from SHRM, obtained in December 2022.
