Zeph Capo

Zeph Capo has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Zeph currently serves as the President of Texas AFT since 2019. Prior to this, they were the President of the Houston Federation of Teachers from 1998 to 2020, where they were responsible for professional education, political coordination, and professional development. Zeph also served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Houston Community College from 2014 to 2019. In the early years of their career, Capo worked as an educator in both the Austin Independent School District and Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Zeph Capo pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration from The University of Texas-Pan American from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1994, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations from Florida International University.
