Brent Dupre has a diverse work experience in the field of law enforcement. Brent is currently serving as the Director of Law Enforcement at the Texas Attorney General since 2021. Previously, they held various roles at the Austin Police Department, including Assistant Chief of Police from 2020 to 2021, Commander from 2016 to 2020, Police Lieutenant from 2014 to 2016, Sergeant from 2009 to 2014, Police Detective from 2004 to 2009, and Police Officer from 1998 to 2004. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in areas such as highway enforcement, intelligence division, recruiting unit, and overall supervision and management.
Brent Dupre attended Trinity University from 1993 to 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History.
