Monica Jenschke is an Associate Professor of Professional Practice in the School of Nurse Anesthesia at Texas Christian University, where areas of expertise include pharmacology, neuroscience, interprofessional education, online doctoral education, and wellness. Jenschke has held leadership roles as Interim Associate Director and Interim Program Director for the School of Nurse Anesthesia. In addition to academic responsibilities, Jenschke engages in public speaking on anesthesia, wellness, stress reduction, and suicide prevention. An anesthesia practitioner since 2005 with NorthStar Anesthesia, Jenschke has a background in the US Air Force Reserve, serving as a Lieutenant Colonel and CRNA from 1987 to 2010. Earlier educational roles included faculty and clinical coordinator positions at Texas Wesleyan University. Jenschke holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, a Master of Health Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Texas Wesleyan University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UT Health San Antonio.
