Carrie Fortner

Carrie Fortner has extensive experience in public service and communications, currently serving as Board Liaison & Management Analyst at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles since February 2018. Prior roles include Business Editor at the Texas Department of Public Safety from June 2012 to February 2018, Community Liaison & Webmaster at the Travis County Sheriff's Office from 2007 to 2010, and Webmaster/Trainer at the Texas Attorney General's Office from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, Carrie held the position of Publications Manager at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2002-2003. Education includes completion of the Governor's Senior Management Development Course at The LBJ School of Public Affairs in June 2022 and a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of North Texas.
