Ismael Beltran

Ismael Beltran is an experienced environmental specialist currently serving as Environmental Specialist III at the Texas Department of Transportation since November 2022. Previously, Beltran held the position of Engineering Specialist IV at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality from August 2019 to November 2022, where responsibilities included reviewing air permit applications and conducting technical project reviews. At The University of Texas at El Paso, Beltran worked as an Environmental Research Assistant in the Bio-behavioral Research Lab from January 2015 to August 2019, focusing on exposure to pollution and statistical modeling. Early career experience includes internships with the USDA and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, along with research assistant roles at UTEP, where data collection and geophysical techniques were applied in environmental studies. Beltran earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2015.
