Brian Doran

Brian Doran is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles, currently serving as the Director of Expanded Learning Models at the Texas Education Agency since July 2018. Prior positions include Manager of Additional Days School Year and Strategy and Operations Manager at the same agency. Doran was a Broad Resident at The Broad Center from July 2019 to May 2021. Previous experience also encompasses roles as Assistant Principal of Operations and Operations Specialist at KIPP Austin Public Schools, Field Special Projects Director at Obama for America, and Assistant Language Teacher in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) (JET). Doran started a career in education as a 4th and 5th Grade Science and Social Studies Teacher with Teach for America. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from The Broad Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies, Spanish, and Business from Tulane University.
