Karen Aikman

Karen Aikman is an experienced educational leader, currently serving as Founder and CEO of Kairn Consulting since May 2025, focusing on developing balanced leaders and creating lasting impact. Aikman has held significant roles at the Texas Education Agency since July 2021, including Regional Support and Implementation Coaching Lead and Manager of Instructional Leadership Design. Previously, Aikman was Principal at Hallsville Intermediate School, achieving a notable increase in state accountability scores. Aikman's career includes serving as Managing Director at Uplift Education, where oversight encompassed multiple elementary campuses, and as Principal of Uplift Luna Primary Preparatory. Prior experience includes a principalship at Nebbie Williams Elementary School in Rockwall ISD and roles as Assistant Principal and teacher in earlier years. Aikman holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University and a Master of Education in Elementary and Middle School Administration from East Texas A&M University.
