Melinda Dade

Melinda Dade, CISSP, CISM, currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at the Texas Education Agency since November 2013, where Melinda develops and maintains an agency-wide information security plan to safeguard enterprise communications, systems, and assets. Prior to this role, Melinda was a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst, leading incident response, cybersecurity consultation, and threat hunting efforts. Melinda's earlier experience includes serving as a Technical Analyst for the US Federal Government, specializing in security and counterintelligence risk analysis, and as an Associate Security Analyst at New York Central Mutual, focusing on compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Melinda earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Marymount University from 2005 to 2007.
