Dave Darnell

Dave Darnell has extensive experience in leadership and cybersecurity within the energy sector, serving as CEO, CISO, and Founder of Systrends since January 1987. Darnell contributes to various organizations, including the North American Energy Standards Board as a member of the Board and representative to the OASIS Cyber Threat Intelligence Technical Committee. Additional roles include membership in NRECA, the Electricity Distributors Association, Texas Electric Cooperatives' Business Alliance Program, (ISC)², OASIS Cyber Threat Intelligence Technical Committee, and ISACA. Darnell has also provided consulting services to Exelon Energy and ERCOT. Darnell holds an MBA in Information Systems from The University of Dallas, an MBA from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.
