Tom Hay

Tom Hay has over 30 years of diverse experience in contract management, vendor compliance, sales coordination, and customer education. Currently serving as the Outreach & Education Coordinator/Project Specialist at the State of Texas - Department of Information Resources since October 2009, Tom trains customers on DIR products and educates vendors on business engagement with the State of Texas. Previous roles include managing a complex $1B contract as Contract Administration Manager and overseeing various IT vendor contracts as Contract Manager. Tom's background also includes positions in benefits processing at the Teacher Retirement System, inside sales and project management at Musco Lighting, staff accounting, and account executive roles in radio advertising. Tom holds a B.A. in Management with a minor in Psychology from Buena Vista University and has completed studies at Iowa Central Community College.
