William C. Sowder

William C. (Bill) Sowder is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in both judiciary and prosecutorial roles. Currently serving as a Senior District Judge in the 99th District Court of Lubbock County, Texas, since September 2005, William presides over civil, family, and juvenile jury trials. Previous positions include Judge Advocate General Officer and Military Judge in the United States Army Reserve, Elected Criminal District Attorney for Lubbock County, Partner at Hurley and Sowder, Attorneys, and Assistant District Attorney in Lubbock County. William holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Baylor University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.
