Wendy Woodland serves as the Director of Advocacy & Communications for the Texas Library Association since October 2016, overseeing strategic management of advocacy efforts and developing communication strategies to promote the organization's mission. Prior to this role, Wendy was the Vice President of Marketing & Communications at the Texas Restaurant Association from 2005 to 2016, where responsibilities included managing all communications, public relations, and marketing activities, along with publishing and editing the association's digital magazine, Restaurantville. Wendy also held the position of Director of Communications at the National Golf Course Owners Association from 1999 to 2005. Education includes a BA in Economics/Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin and an MA in International Relations from the University of South Carolina.
