Currently serving as the Secretary on the Board of NALHE Greater Houston Chapter and as a Board Member for Latinas in Tech - Houston, Karen is actively engaged in industry leadership. At HCA Healthcare since 2004, Karen has held several key positions, including Division Director of Applications, Division Director of Operations, and Director of Information Technology, overseeing vendor application strategy, IT operations across multiple hospitals, and teams focused on technology implementation. Karen's earlier career includes roles as a Systems Analyst at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Account Manager at Entrust. Educational credentials include an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management Information Systems from The University of Kansas.
