Tatum Martens

Born in 1992 in Houston, TX, Tatum also grew up in the Bayou City – a city she grew to love and appreciate from an early age. She attended Stratford High School in the Memorial area, where she served on the Student Council as Treasurer for its Executive Board and also acted as Lieutenant for the Drill Team.

Venturing out from the confines of the Greater Houston area for college, Tatum matriculated at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. There, Tatum expanded her interests and pursuits, majoring in Business with an emphasis in Marketing while simultaneously attaining a Minor in Nutrition.

Tatum’s desire to work in healthcare also blossomed during her time at TCU. She attained an internship with St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, working out of a more logistically-feasible office in Houston, TX for the internship; in addition, she made several trips to Memphis to learn from the hospital administrators and staff directly. As part of the internship, Tatum assisted with fundraising, sponsorship, promotion, networking, and other marketing duties.

Soon after graduation from Texas Christian, Tatum joined Texas Medical Center, where she applied for and secured a position with the Marketing team. She has been a part of the TMC Marketing team for over four years, moving up from a Marketing Associate to a Marketing Manager and now to her current role as the Director of Marketing.
