Craig Barnes

Craig Barnes, IPMA-SCP, currently serves as a Human Resources Outreach Consultant at the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool, focusing on proactive loss prevention and employee engagement among Texas municipalities. Prior to this role, Craig was a Business Development and Principal HR Consultant at CPS HR Consulting, specializing in integrated HR solutions for various government entities. From July 2017 to April 2022, Craig managed human resources strategic solutions for the City of Plano, leading initiatives in organizational transformation and talent management. Craig's career also includes extensive experience at the City of Garland as the Workforce Engagement and Outreach Administrator, where responsibilities encompassed employee engagement strategies, oversight of internal communication, and management of HR technology projects. Craig holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Abilene Christian University and a Masters in Public Administration Certificate from The University of Texas at Dallas.
