Pamela Smith is an experienced training and compliance specialist currently working with the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool since October 2021, focusing on developing and administering claims training curricula. With a background in claims processing, Pamela was instrumental as a member of the Electronic Data Interchange team while serving as a claims specialist. Prior to this role, Pamela dedicated nearly three decades to Texas Mutual Insurance Company, holding positions that include eLearning instructional designer, senior trainer, and training & assurance specialist, where the focus was on identifying training needs and enhancing organizational training. Early career experiences include coordinating technical reporting at Southwest Research Institute and serving as an executive assistant at Texas Military Institute. Pamela holds a degree from Our Lady of the Lake University.
