Karl P. Mooney has extensive experience in higher education and public service. As Director of General Studies & Transition Academic Programs Advising at Texas A&M University since 1989, Karl oversees academic advising and serves as the Human Resources Liaison. In local government, Karl has been a City Councilman and previously served as Mayor of College Station, Texas, where contributions included membership on several committees such as the BCS Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Medical Corridor Commission. Additionally, Karl holds the position of President of Region X for the Texas Municipal League, advocating for municipalities in numerous counties. Prior roles include significant positions in athletic administration and real estate, complemented by a robust educational background with degrees from Lehigh University, New Jersey City University, and The College of New Jersey.
