Heath Wester

Heath Wester currently serves as Chief Of Police at Sherman Independent School District since September 2021 and holds the position of Legislative Liaison for the Texas School District Police Chiefs’ Association since June 2023. Wester has extensive experience in law enforcement, having served as Lieutenant at Grayson County Sheriff from January 2018 to September 2021 and as a Detective in the Major Crimes Unit for the City of Grand Prairie from October 1996 to January 2018. Additionally, Wester has held various leadership roles within the Texas Municipal Police Association, including Past President, President, and 1st Vice President. Earlier career experience includes serving as Association President for the Grand Prairie Police Department and Deputy Sheriff at Grayson County Sheriff's Department. Education includes time at Tabor College and Grayson College, with a high school diploma from Pottsboro High School.
