Chris Byers

Chris Byers has extensive experience in fraud investigation and law enforcement, currently serving as Supervisor in the Special Investigations Department at Texas Mutual Insurance Company since September 2016, leading a team of certified fraud investigators. Prior to this role, Byers held positions as Senior Investigator and Investigator II at Texas Mutual, focusing on complex premium fraud investigations. Byers' earlier tenure with the FBI spanned from 1982 to 2016, with roles including Legal Attache, Assistant Legal Attache, Supervisory Special Agent, and Special Agent, gaining significant expertise in various criminal investigations, including organized crime and counterterrorism. Byers began a career in intelligence with the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command from 1988 to 1990 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
