James Quintero is the Director of the Center for Local Governance at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, a role held since March 2008. With a background in fiscal policy, Quintero has extensively researched and advocated for taxpayer interests, focusing on government accountability and judicious spending. Prior to this, Quintero served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas State University, where involvement in a grant-funded program aimed at increasing financial aid awareness among low-income high school students provided valuable experience. Quintero began a professional career as a Mortgage Consultant at PrimeLending and holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Finance from Texas State University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin.
