Sheryl Frierson currently serves as the Medical Director of the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children, a position held since July 2019. With extensive experience in academia and pediatrics, Sheryl held various roles at Vanderbilt University, including Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and affiliated faculty at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, from 2009 to 2021. Sheryl's career also includes significant roles at Johns Hopkins University and the Kennedy Krieger Institute, where training in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities was completed. Education includes a Medical Doctorate from UC San Diego School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences from Stanford University.
