Dr. Stephen Pinkney

Dr. Stephen Pinkney is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Texas Southern University, specializing in research and data analysis, student and community engagement, and policy recommendations since June 2020. Prior experience includes roles as an Instructor and Researcher at the Bullard Center, where research focused on urban planning and environmental policy, as well as investigating climate migrant communities. Dr. Pinkney served as an Environmental Justice Intern at the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice and spent over a decade in education with HISD as an Educator, developing CATE curriculum. Previous professional experience includes financial account management at Wachovia Wealth Management, sales management at AT&T, and professional football player in the Arena Football League. Dr. Pinkney holds a PhD from Texas Southern University, a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Lamar University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
