Jennifer Hodges Stephens

Jennifer Hodges Stephens currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Texas Southern University since October 2025. Prior to this role, Jennifer worked at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as the Associate Vice President of Communications and Marketing from April 2020 to October 2025. Jennifer's extensive experience in higher education includes positions at Georgia Gwinnett College, where roles included Deputy Chief of Staff and Interim Executive Director of Government and External Relations. Jennifer has also held various leadership roles in public affairs at the American Council on Education and has contributed to educational leadership through a fellowship at Harvard University. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Georgia, a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Psychology and Graphic Design from Auburn University, along with experience at Université Paris-Sorbonne.
