Marilyn A. Rose

Regent Marilyn A. Rose was appointed to the Texas Southern University Board of Regents by Governor Greg Abbott in 2015. She has served as the 2nd Vice Chair of the Texas Southern University Board of Regents.

Regent Rose is a Certified Public Accountant and a former Registered Texas Assessor Collector. She has over five years of audit experience in the Public Accountant Firm of Price Waterhouse Coopers and Deloitte & Touche and nine years of Internal Audit experience with the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector Office. She is currently employed at the Harris County Sheriff Office as a Financial Analyst in the Finance Department.

In early 2000, Regent Rose started a Company, Rose Pinnock LLC offering accounting and business consulting services. The Company was later renamed LM Rose Consulting Group LLC.

Regent Rose is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. She is a Board Member of the Texas Organization of Youth Sports and a former Board Member of the Lupus Foundation of America, Texas Gulf Coast Chapter.

Regent Rose is married to Lynden Rose and they have three children, Lynden Jr., Lynnard and Madelyn. They are members of Second Baptist Church.

Regent Rose holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas Southern University.
