Sharon Thibodeaux

Sharon Thibodeaux has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Sharon currently serves as the Director of Student Customer Relations & Operations at Texas Southern University. In their role, they are responsible for managing customer relations and overseeing operational matters pertaining to students.

Prior to their current position, Sharon held the role of Director of Financial Aid at Lamar State College-Port Arthur from November 2018 to February 2023. Sharon'sresponsibilities included preparing and submitting financial aid reports and managing a team of staff members.

From November 2010 to September 2018, Sharon worked at Texas Southern University as the Associate Director of FINAID and the Associate Director of Operations. Sharon assisted the Director in various tasks, such as staffing, work supervision, and personnel actions.

Sharon's work history also includes a stint at Prairie View A&M University, where they served as the Scholarship Coordinator, Loan Coordinator, and Staff Assistant from June 1998 to November 2010. During this time, they managed scholarship processes and monitored financial aid funds.

Additionally, Sharon has gained experience in the U.S. Army, where they served as a Staff Sergeant from June 1983 to May 1998.

Sharon Thibodeaux completed their education at Prairie View A&M University. Sharon obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems in 2001. Sharon then pursued further studies at the same university and received two Master's Degrees. The first Master's Degree was in Counseling, which they attained in 2003. The second Master's Degree, completed in 2006, was in Human Sciences.
