Zahrah Butler

Zahrah Butler is an accomplished professional with a background in museum operations and research. Currently serving as Museum Registrar at Texas Southern University, Zahrah Butler works on collections management and collaborates with various stakeholders to create art exhibitions. Previous experience includes contributing to the Black Sub Texts project at Rice University Center for Civic Leadership and examining slave manifests and historical data as an Undergraduate Fondren Fellow. Additional roles at Rice University involved mentoring students as a Writing and Communication Consultant and serving as a Psychology Research Assistant. Zahrah Butler holds a Bachelor's degree in Religion/Religious Studies from Rice University and a High School Diploma from Harmony School of Innovation-Sugar Land.
