Duane Bruce

Duane Bruce, Ed.D, currently serves as the Assistant Vice President for Student Success and Executive Director of Student Involvement and Engagement at Texas State University since April 2023. Prior to this role, Duane held the position of Executive Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Ohio University from March 2020 to March 2023, where responsibilities included supporting the implementation of the university’s diversity and inclusion strategic plan and coordinating data collection for related initiatives. Duane's extensive experience spans various leadership roles in higher education, including positions at Teachers College, Columbia University, CUNY, and others, focusing on student development, diversity, and student engagement. Duane earned an Ed.D in Higher Education Administration from The University of Kansas and has contributed to professional development in higher education through consulting and editing roles.
