Todd MacKenzie

Todd Mackenzie is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas State University, responsible for teaching online and in-person classes for various health programs and overseeing AIT/Internship placements since August 2004. Previously, as Executive Director and Austin Market Leader at Brookdale Senior Living from November 2012 to October 2025, Todd notably increased AL/IL occupancy from 64% to 100% and significantly improved staff retention rates. From November 2007 to November 2012, as Chief Executive Officer of Remington Medical Resorts, Todd successfully opened a resort in San Antonio, achieving full occupancy shortly after Medicare certification. Todd also served as Administrator at Deer Creek Of Wimberley from June 1996 to November 2007, focusing on long-term care management amid industry changes, and began a career in long-term care administration with Beverly Enterprises as a Regional Vice President from December 1989 to June 1996. Todd holds a Master's degree in Long Term Health Care Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Management from the University of North Texas.
