Ruwani Vitharana

Ruwani Vitharana is a graduate teaching assistant at Texas Tech University, starting in September 2024. Prior to this role, Ruwani was a data scientist at RS Metrics from September 2021 to July 2024, where Ruwani contributed to the development of geospatial environmental, climate, and physical risk analytics, utilizing the company's data products, ESGSignals® and AssetTracker. Earlier experience includes a data science internship. Ruwani holds a BSc. Honours in Industrial Statistics from the University of Colombo, completed in June 2022, and attended Musaeus College from 2002 to 2016. Additionally, Ruwani is pursuing CIMA qualifications.
