Kelly Cheek has worked in various roles related to environmental, health, and safety since 1998. Kelly began their career at Tennessee Galvanizing, Inc. / Galvanizing Services Co., Inc. as an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager and ISO Management Rep. In 2006, they moved to Blue Bird Corporation as an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager. In 2007, they took on the role of Shipping / Receiving Supervisor at Tennessee Galvanizing. Since 2013, they have been employed at Textile Rubber & Chemical Co., Inc. as a Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist.
Kelly Cheek has a long educational history. In 1984, they graduated from Dalton High School with a High School Diploma. From 1987 to 1989, they attended Georgia Southern University and obtained a General Studies degree. In 2018, they enrolled in the Georgia Institute of Technology and obtained an Industrial Safety & Health Program Certificate in 2020. Kelly also obtained a Safety & Health Management Program Certificate from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2021. In 2020, they obtained a General Industry Safety & Health Management Program Certificate from The University of Alabama. In addition to these degrees and certificates, Kelly Cheek has obtained numerous certifications from various institutions, including Louisiana State University - NCBRT/Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education, Volunteer State Community College, US DEPARTMENT OF LABOR OSHA, Texas A&M University, University of South Florida, Hutcheson Medical Center / Georgia Office of EMS, National Stormwater Center, National Sheriffs' Association, American Heart Association, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
