Senior Software Developer - Backend at TextNow

Ben Greco has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ben started their career as a Science and Technology Research Intern at SPAWAR in 2011, where they contributed to innovation projects and applied mathematical models to enhance signal information handling capacity. In 2012, they joined Clemson University as a Graduate Teacher's Assistant before returning to SPAWAR as a Scientist, conducting research and publishing journal papers until 2015.

Starting in 2015, Ben worked at Soteria - Security Consulting & Data Analytics as a Data Scientist, where they installed and administered data infrastructure, developed products, and contributed to ETL, analytics, and machine learning. Ben later transitioned to the role of Senior Software Engineer at the same company, designing and configuring databases, creating workflows using Apache Kafka, and administrating GNU/Linux systems.

In 2018, Ben co-founded a company called Loop, where they served as a Co-Founder and Senior Backend Engineer. Ben designed and built a REST API using the Gin framework and developed microservices in Go and Docker for data ingestion, third party API communication, and computational tasks.

In 2020, Ben joined Bayer Crop Science as a Data Engineer, involved in data engineering tasks. Ben also worked as a Consultant at Bradford & Galt during the same time period, providing consultancy services.

Currently, Ben is employed at TextNow as a Senior Software Developer - Backend, starting in 2021.

Ben Greco completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematical Sciences and Spanish from Clemson University in 2010. Ben then pursued a Master's degree in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University and completed it in 2012.
